I am a multi disciplinary artist and illustrator based in the sunny seaside town of Eastbourne in East Sussex. I am fortunate enough to be surrounded by the bulk of my inspiration as my practice is inspired predominantly by botany, nature, architecture and peppered with the influences of my other keen interests in anthropology and astronomy.

I work with and on a broad range of mediums, however my current preference is predominantly ink pen and water based paints on handmade rag paper. I love the texture and rugged nature of handmade paper and it’s natural and rustic form compliments the themes of nature I love to explore. My obsession with colours, along with shapes, textures and symbolism, is a recurring theme in almost every piece I create. I often use storytelling alongside my creative journey to add another dimension to the experience of the viewer. For me, art is as much a visual experience as it is a physical and mental one.

For as long as I can remember, I always knew I would be an artist when I grew up. Now that I’ve grown up (mostly), I find myself in a constant state of finding inspiration from everything that surrounds me; from the geometric lines and shapes in man made forms and exploring it’s relationship alongside nature, to the simple things like a sprouting flower in a neighbouring garden. Exploring identity, from a personal and broader perspective, is a topic I often find my self returning to in one way or another whenever I create anything.

After finishing my BA Hons Fine Art degree at Kingston University (London) in 2015, my husband, son, two Ragdoll cats and I made Eastbourne our new home. Now, with the additions of our spritely cocker spaniel and a little daughter, alongside running a catering business (if you want to sample some authentic West African fare, I’m your gal) , I continue to create and explore my passion for bringing my creative thoughts onto paper whilst being surrounded by domestic bliss & until the day I manage to open my very own art centred Bed & Breakfast out in the sticks somewhere…

Since turning my passion into a career, I have worked with small businesses around the UK, creating bespoke illustrations for their product packaging - Kuki’s Naturals (2017) Cachi Peanut Butters (2018) Essi Naturals Body Butters (2018) Awo’s Hearth Spices 2020) and have had published commissions such as City Life (Accra) 2020/2021 Magazine as well as other projects and private commissions throughout the globe.

When I’m not covered in paint and making art, you’ll find me in the kitchen cooking up a spicy storm or in the garden, attempting to grow and nurture my own little natural haven.

I am an active member of the Society of Eastbourne Artists and The Blue Monkey network and partake in regular group exhibitions and art related events.
